NFPA Chemical Labels
Clear communication for first responders when handling dangerous materials.
Visible Fire Hazard Identification for First Responders & Industrial Environments
First responders rely on clear communication when handling dangerous materials. Therefore, Northern Label manufactures premium, custom NFPA chemical labels. Specifically, we keep your containers, 55-gallon drums, and entire facility perfectly OSHA and GHS-compliant with safety and warning signage. Furthermore, our advanced flexographic printing provides highly visible hazard identification. Consequently, we exclusively engineer labels using light-fast inks and reliable adhesives. Ultimately, they easily survive extreme industrial environments.
The NFPA 704 Hazard Identification System
Avoid compliance fines with NFPA labels.
The National Fire Protection Association utilizes a strict, diamond-shaped symbol system. Consequently, this instantly alerts emergency responders to dangerous materials. Furthermore, we guarantee your custom labels perfectly adhere to the strict NFPA 704 standard. Specifically, our prepress team guarantees flawless color-matching for the four vital quadrants. These are strictly numbered from 0 (minimal hazard) to 4 (severe hazard):

NFPA Labels
NFPA 704 Standard System for the Identification of the Hazards of Materials for Emergency Response is a standard maintained by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). In order to make consumers aware of the dangers of certain chemicals, the NFPA has come up with a system to indicate the health, reactivity, and flammability of chemicals.
Northern Label offers custom chemical safety labels corresponding to the NFPA hazard ratings noted below. This system includes the use of number and color codes in which red stands for flammability, yellow for reactivity, blue for health, and white for special precautions..
Hazard Ratings Summary:
Health – Blue
4 - Danger
- Can be fatal even with shot exposure, protective equipment is required.
